The Founder: Eddie Scruggs—From Rock Stages to Real Estate Stages
Before Eddie Scruggs helped anyone buy or sell a home, he was shaping the Memphis music scene in ways many never knew. He owned The Taliesyn Ballroom, an 800-seat concert hall and a major part of Memphis entertainment culture. He founded and co-owned Rock and Roll Audio, a touring sound company trusted by legendary Southern rock acts including Lynyrd Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker Band, and The Commodores.
He didn’t stop there. Eddie founded Taliesyn Entertainment, built 315 Beal Recording Studio on historic Beale Street, launched Taliesyn Photography, and managed national touring acts including Xavion—the first African-American rock group to appear on MTV—along with Y B Normal?, Home Grown Funk, and others.
